Make attacks based on upgrades For example highest upgrades of attacker: > 3 levels difference over defendants highest upgrade = max 40% of their stack > 5 levels difference over defendants highest upgrade = max 30% of their stack > 7 levels difference over defendants highest upgrade = max 20% of their stack > 9 levels difference over defendants highest upgrade = max 10% of their stack Immunity in the first 3 days of playing A new player is slightly protected, you can only steal as much gold from them as the level of their fame. When attacked they get a message that they are partly protected but this will change after day 3. Newbies are shown as white dots on the radar Everyone will know they are dealing with a new player, when attacking those it will raise your fame with 5 instead of 1 because landlubbers will see this as a very mean action towards (in their eyes still) innocent sailors. |

i like the white dot idea and perhaps it would be easy enough to work it in as a failed attack if say someone of mid level or higher decides to hit a 72hr protected newbie. this would also allow for them to find temporary upgrades on island searches for a preview of how much fun they'll have if they stick around.what's the incentive? |
