After reading some of the posts, I've learned goldpirate seems to be one of the top players here, but even so... OUCH:

Now I need to find some motivation to keep me going my hearties!

Mind you, serves me right, I attack everything I see and was wandering around with 58 fame and over 10,000 gp for my next upgrade, but pirates are supposed to take risks.

What motivates you to keep going after a big hit?

Update I found a fame reset 3 moves later, oh the irony!

Thanks for the offer Darkmyst9, I went offline as you posted, but fortunately got some great tips from a great pirate.

I was once running around with a fame level of 116... why? I guess I'm a sucker for attacking those little towns, so enticing!

Ok cool, I saw you went off again. I'm still in chat at the moment. Not really sure how to reply to the thread except that to come back and beat those that beat you earlier in the game.

I have bought gold pirate so many upgrades the last couple of months that If I took that much off gold pirate I would sign off the game and immediately come to the forum and post my deed, celebrate my freedom from being gold pirate's bitch, declare myself the moral winner of the game and then call my cable company and discontinue my cable service so I would not be tempted to ever sign on again.

Think I haven't got more than 20K total off him in the last few months. He likes to move around with fame and I like his gold.

I hit after you gold and there isn't much left lol

GP you just seem to find me when I am frantically looking for a reset. Ever notice how scarce those resets get when you fame gets to about 8? Then when you are looking you run into pirates that you just have to hit, and before you know you are parked with a fame of 15ish.

Of course if you sweat out 350 moves to find a reset when you do find one the odds of finding another one with in three moves is about 70%. And of course your first dozen or so moves each day always have a reset or two in them ---------- unless of course you parked with fame and have any gold left you may not see a reset all day. lol. I just love how randomness works.

Yea it is wonderful isn't it. grrrrrr those dang resets are never where you need them lol

And those ships that just don't want to sink are a pain too, but low and behold someone always comes along behind me and there they go, down into the deep lmao

knowing that with patience and time and lots of luck one day you will get REVENGE
