Pirate The World - Online Adventure Game

Per the vote we had last month, there will be a reset at the end of September. It will come with the following:

1. Your stats will be reset to the initial values.
2. The map will be completely shuffled.
3. You will be able to CHANGE your username!! A lot of people asked for this. I'm not sure how it will work just yet, what with forum usernames and game usernames and such. It is not required.
4. Anytime Silver Cashout will be turned off starting today. You will still be able to cash out on the 1st.

I expect there to be a race for resources both before and after the reset. It should be fun...at least for some.

This and any new developments will be discussed in this thread.

Well i only got one question,will there be coordinates with this reset?

no, the coordinates are not coming back.

Ok then how about scramble the map at cashout monthly

As part of the reset, will we have Total Gold set to zero?

The gold on your ship will be reset to 0 gold. You will still have any gold in your treasure chest though. Good luck and good pirating

Just wondering if it has been figured out how it will work if we change our names after the reset. Am assuming treasure chests will have to be transferred manually, but am curious if there is an estimated time line as I will want access to SD asap.

I have made a page in the member's area where you will be able to change your username.

You can take a look at it now, but you will not be able to change your name until after midnight, at which point each player will get 1 "name change" in their account to use whenever.

Because of this new functionality, I'm changing the forum policy of requiring your forum name to match your game name. I know it will create some confusion, but you're all pirates, so deal with it.

The forum (for now) will still require you to register under your current username, but after registration the policy won't be enforced.

Requests to change forum usernames will be handled on a first come, first served basis.

On an unrelated note, I've added another page in the member's area that allows you to send chest items (except pearls) to other pirates.
