just got a little query about the amount taken in attacks... as many of you may know by now i rarely if ever have fame ... and i understand that fameless you lose 1% of your gold which is mostly bourne out by my logs... but i have noticed that for the last 2 days when i have been attacked by mr_six_shooter when fameless he has taken 2%... is there any particular reason why this happens with him and according to my logs only him?

That should not happen if you have 0 fame.

The exact calculation for a fameless attack goes as follows:

percentage_stolen = 0.01
percentage_stolen = .50 if percentage_stolen > .50 (this line caps it at 50%)
gold_stolen = round ( percentage_stolen * targets_total_gold )

Nothing else affects those two variables for a fameless attack.

my attack on you today was for 74 gold. Are you saying that you only had 3700 in gold during the attack? If you had a 0 fame you should have been holding around 7400. Either way I don't recall getting alot from you yesterday either.

yep... had not long upgraded and only had 3700 and fameless and you got 74... only reason i noted it was because you had taken double what i expected you to yesterday too and was watching to see what happened... but as for some reason my attack log hasnt got a scroll bar on it today i cant check back to see how much you took then

i almost exclusively farm and very rarely allow myself to have even 1 fame... but if i had had 1 fame you would have got 3% i believe

To get the scroll bars you'll need to open the log from the game window. Or at least that's what I need to do to get them.

ive been losing approx 4% with 1 fame im positve of this figure and its been this way for weeks

That is about right for 1 fame.

Attacks with anything greater than 0 fame uses a whole different equation.

ok i signed off today with 0 fame how did happy get over 2000 from me with 0 fame i dont have no where near 200k.

Maybe because you signed off with 1 fame?

The attack logs show that when the previous attacker failed on you 32 minutes before happy hit you, you had 1 fame.

The movement logs show that you pillaged a town when you had 14 or 15 moves left, and kept that 1 fame until you ran out of moves.

i signed off had no fame look at last attack i made and when pt hit me after i did last attack and i had no fame and i hit no towns cause i only had 15 moves and if i had fame i got friends i usually tell to hit me so i dont leave it unless i only have a few k gold.

for all the time ive been playing ive winged and moaned occassionally about losing gold and thinking ive lost what i thought was too much then i remmebered something very very important ITS ONLY A GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, while it is important to remember that it is only a game, I do not mind people bringing up what they think might be a bug. It's not too difficult to check the logs and I want PTW to be the best experience for everyone that it can be. Just please don't take it too hard when I have proof that contradicts what you saw. I don't mean it that way.

no its ok and i misread your thing before i knew i didnt hit a ship and sometimes i click towns when i dont want to that must be what happened and i was thinking i was fameless .sorry
