i dont think my sample of 569 can really be considered irrelevant either.. i'm gonna do it again with my moves in a bit, and ill see what i come up with.. but what i said was not addressed, and is true.. thats a lot of moves to lose.. i know that if you guys would have played under the conditions we are right now, you would have been very upset and very very frustrated...
Actually husk, if you remember, I was always the one advocating a change since people that had time to sit in front of a computer all day long had an advantage over those of us who could not. Towards the end of the game I actually was bored to sit down and relentlessly plod through the world, knowing that I could eek out $20 or $40 for cashout but would have to spend 80, 90, 200 or more hours sitting in front of the screen to do it. I had over 65% of the world mapped then and if I had the time I could have gone over the entire thing and then built up enough moves to attack every pirate in the game. Strategy: none, Patience: ungodly.
Then there were the people out to cheat the system who had bots that plodded through the world from island to island while their 'owners' were at school, work or even asleep. Strategy: none, Fairness: zilch.
Now people are thinking more along the lines of what best to do since their moves are somewhat limited. So now people have to plan out what to do instead of plodding along. In looking through the database, there are numerous strategies in place as each person stives to make theirs work better than everyone elses. Strategy: high
