Pirate The World - Online Adventure Game

I was just thinking some people say that chat lags the game for them and when the game goes down the chat does also. So what if the chat was moved to the same server as the forums? Though I like looking at the chat pings to know how fast the game will be, if the chat was on the same server as the forums then people could keep chatting, and the game not loading could be explained to first day players who may get put off by it. The chat names could then be pulled from the forum memberlist database rather than the game database. This should also lighten the load on the game server making it faster for everyone else. I know the game being down/laggy sometimes is normal for a site of this type and size, and all that can be done (While having a life.) is being done, so I'm not complaining.

P.s:
When we can't get in chat we could simply use this thread as a chat thread. There may even be a way for it to auto refresh and for posts older than 30 mins to get auto deleted, .

It looks like the server is back up again.

This time, there was nothing about this that I could control. I did manage to put the little "Game Server Status: Down" thingy on the home page so that if this happens again and the server is truly down, the home page will pick it up and let you know in red letters.

Most of the times when people complain about lag or the server being down, I can log in and see other people moving around. This time was not the same.
