How about we have an arcade instead of the tavern, we could play one of a selection of games and the person with the highest score on each game every month gets a certain amount of gold pieces. Perhaps it could also have some instant win type prizes of SD or even GD.

Or maybe a ghost ship that appears once or twice a day, and if you're lucky enough to find it you could win gold pieces or even pearls or upgrades. Have the ship only be available for certain length of time, say an hour, then it disappears again. It might attract more people to play more because they won't know when the ship will appear.

I like both those suggestions, anything to spice this game up just a little would be great.

I personally think both ideas are great. Hope the Captain does too. I love the idea of a ghost ship.

I think pops had an idea a while back of a "peddler boat" in which it would randomly sail around the world, and if you were lucky enough to find it and hit it, you would be rewarded...

the only problem with that is that the bigger ships would be able to sail around to find it much quicker...

maybe if the boat had a specific hit count, say, be the Xth person to hit it, and the gold is yours...that would be nifty

Terrific ideas, Soulfire. Loved them both. And I like CSStriker's input of making it the X hit, so would be fair to all.

i really like the ghost ship idea w/random # of hits to score a plunder.they could be color coded like all the other ships in order to delegate who's eligible to attack so that (those whom shall remain unnamed )can't loot all the bonus's intended to be distributed across the field.especially those intended for first time players to increase the draw to the game.
