Was just thinking about ranks. What if at each moves reset the average stats of each upgrade of all active players was posted in a section much like the piracy rates were??. E.g: Cannons: 6 Crew 5 Radar 7 Etc In this case it could be that only 2 players are active, 1 of which has 12 cannons, and the other has 0. Being only 2 players they would both know who was doing better, but since there are more in the game now than that, no players would gain info on any set player based on this. Put simply the idea lets all players know how they rank in the field, but not how a certain player is doing, or when they have fame. This could be a new idea for PTW2 if it's not already planned, and it could be tested in PTW1, so we know what to aim for to get to the top. Could even put in averages like how many moves are left, how much gold is in the ships, etc. Once the code is done it should be easy to put from PTW1 to PTW2, because just the data names would need to be changed. |

No code from PTW1 will be able to be ported over to PTW2. They are entirely different programming languages and game frameworks. We are planning a "ranking" page for PTW1 that will be up very soon that will let you know the top 20 players based on whatever the ranking is for the month. It won't give any information about those players other than where they are relative to each other. |

I think it might be good to post player ranks in terms of total stats. Example:1cannon, 1 crew, etc. Add those numbers together to get total stats.That way you have an idea how many times a player has upgraded, but you dont know exactly what they upgraded. |

The player ranks will be in terms of total stats, however we're not going to actually post the values. |

Just out of curiosity, are you planning on keeping PTW1 going after the new one starts? It might be a good idea to think about it. I know I would enjoy playing both. |

That hadn't been my plan, however if the new format of a monthly game works for people, we can see how it will go. I would much rather rewrite the current version into the new server, though, so you would be able to have one account that manages both. Rewriting the current game would take far less time than the new one, however it would be far less awesome.

It will be nice to see a total rank... but NOT specificated cannons, crew...etc.. because when you show that, the others have a (little) idea of your play-strategy... and will be not fair to do i suppose... Is there a total rank comming up ??? so we all can have some idea where we are in this new competition ??? That will stimulate the players... and... i enjoy this new version match more than the one before  )))))

The total upgrades will be added soon, just need to get the coding done for it and make sure it doesn't affect other areas of gameplay. |
