Could you add a list of names who are on your current game screen so if your looking for someone you don't have to move the mouse over every x on the screen... You would still have to click on the right x in order to attack.

If enough people would like it to happen I don't see why not. It won't be one of the priorities, but it's a possibility.

It's not very "pirate-y"... Instantly knowing the names of all of the ships within "eyesight" seems like it would take some of the fun out of it.

Nah, it would be conveinent. And that's the problem. I don't want this game to be too easy.
