anyone having problems with attacking other ships?

iv just being playing the game and im struggling to understant whats going on with my attack on other ships.I have attacked at least 15 ships today & i have not had 1 successful attck.I have get my attack failed or the person you tried to attack had no gold to plunder.Does anyone know whats im doing wrong?

you're doing nothing wrong, thats just how it is when you start out..it's tough to catch a ship when it has gold + fame...plus, since your attack is probably lower, its tough to get through those that hold gold
