have four sheets each being one quadrant (NW,SW etc). assuming you are using excel or statistica...make sure you reduce the column width so that your squares/coordinates fit better and you can see more at one time. make sure you order the coordinate numbers correctly along the border e.g. for the NW it starts at 200N going down and 200W going across, and for the SE it starts at 0N going down and 0E going across. finally to make everything easier once you are completely scrolled back up to the top left so you can see the starting coords click window freeze pane and it will hold your coords in place so you can see them as you scroll afterwards. colour every square/coordninate by its sea type (i only colour islands and towns but you can do them all if you want). that's about all...i made the column and row with the coord numbers in them red font so i could notice them better but up to you.
