Even though new players can hide by them, the inactive ships actually hurt them as well. As stated above, these green ships are the only ones that they can attack. Many of them do, not knowing that they are broke, raising their fame a costing them moves. So, they don't make very much gold in a day, and they get more taken from them. I say get them out, using my "sinking" method that i recommended/suggested above

not true Brian. older players have a route they travel and pay attention to changing positions of ships as well as new names (or the smart ones do). how do you think they started noticing you?
