This is a great game! I was having a bad night, lost thousands to attacks, then found 2 pearls, an assayer, and sunk a ship! I was finally able to upgrade! Thanks PTW! Dang - I referred a friend, but did it verbally. Then I forgot and attacked her & stole 9 gold coins from her, but she forgave me.... I love this game!

I also found a pearl but I was unable to find an expert in any of the towns I checked. Has anyone found an expert yet so they can cash in their pearls or is this a bug? |

What fun! Sometimes the assayer's shop is not open, and there are at least three different levels of assayers that I've found, so don't take the first offer for your pearl! One guy said my pearl was trash and I later sold it for .01 gold doubloons. Maybe I should have shopped around for the third assayer.....I think it has to do with the kind of hammer they use to evaluate it - I gotta pay more attention!

Your pearl emits a soft gold luminesence as he holds it up to the light and says: (Looking down down his nose at you) You're bringing garbage like this to me?!? I will not even be bothered to tell you what this is worth, begone! response for a silver pearl You hand your pearl to the assayer. He pulls out a small platinum hammer and delicately taps your pearl. Your pearl emits a soft silver luminesence as he holds it up to the light and says: (Looking down down his nose at you) You're bringing garbage like this to me?!? I will not even be bothered to tell you what this is worth, begone! You find the assayer's shop. The door is closed and has a sign on it-- 'This shop is closed. Try again another day.' |
