Sorry if I sound stupid in this post, but I didnt start playing the game too long ago so I havent really got the hang of it yet. In my treasure chest I have 2 pearls - are they different to these pearls that you cash out?

If they are, what are the pearls in my treasure chest for?

Id appreciate any help on this one..

All pearls are worth differant things. Some are .01 or more godl dubloons, some are .10 or more silver dubloons, some are ship and style upgrades, some are t-shirts xbox's real gold and other such prizes. You have to find an asseyer at a towns to knwo what they are worth

And how would I find an asseyer? Do they just turn up randomly at certain towns? Or do you have to find them somehow? Does a link come up or something?

Thanks Cap'n, I was just coming to this thread to let everyone know!

Also wanted to say, I kinda liked the way assayer's kept referring me to other assayers to find the true value, added an interesting twist to my game!

Yay! I'm glad someone likes that aspect of it. :-D

Sometimes you'll find someone who can tell you the value right away--other times you'll have to go from assayer to assayer a few times. :-D
