just curious...

what kind of digital camera are we looking at here?

You know me, the photographer and all, so that definitely piqued my interest...

If it is something like a 30D, then expect me to do every waking move to search for pearls!

The 30D is a bit out of the price range that we wanted to spend on this particular prize--seeing as how we have a laptop out there and all!

We actually haven't purchased this one yet, though the pearl is out there to find already. The prices on these things fluctuate so much it seemed better to wait until it's found. :-D

It's most likely going to be a good, easy-to-use camera that has all-around appeal for anyone. If we were to stick with the Canon reference, I would say maybe an SD750 or an S3.

I know it's not a Canon S3 or a 30D, but I just picked up TWO 7MP Polaroid i739 digital cameras. They're a decent point-and-shoot camera. Happy diving! Two are better than one. :-D
