This is the most annoying thing about PTW at the moment. Probably about the most irritating thing on the whole internet in my opinion. An advertiser that takes over the log in page, and then prompts a forced download that you have to exit out of. Is there anything that can be done to force the advertising company to drop them out of their rotation of ads?

Which page and what ad spot are you seeing this ad at? Is it a text ad or a banner?

The log in or entry page. After logging in, I open the game....and then the forced download comes up. The main page (log in Page) then redirects to drive cleaners page and you have to go back to the bookmark and start over to get back to the main page. If you hit back on the browser, the forced download comes up again.

I don't know the specific ad spot as my sailing page opens in another tab in my browser.

I spoke to someone else that plays and they had it happen about "6 times" they said, so it is not only me. I know of at least two of us. It has never happened to the game play page, or any of the supplemental pages(attack log, stats, etc) to my knowledge. At least not to me.
I use avant and that person uses IE.

Can you give urls?

What's the URL for "main page", "log in page", and "bookmark"?

Hey! I make 3! That happens to me too! Sometimes when i log in and say i click to look at new pirate ranks, the page will start to load and suddenyl is overtakin and redirects me to sme osite tryin to say i have x amu mount of problem with my comp and need to download this "drive cleaner". Ive already scanned my computer via my own safe guard systems and everything is in perfect order. There doesnt seem to be a pattern in it though, it happans at the most random times. Sometimes right when i log in it does it, or try to load any of the other pages it does it.

I thought it was just me but now i see its not.

I had this happen to me once 3 days ago. Thinking maybe someone has hacked in or something. Everytime I see this type of page it usually contains a virus.

Is it still happening? I can't get that particular ad to come up for me.

Not sure if this is the same thing or not but a few days ago I closed my browser and got hit with a pop after (If they can be called that). The page wouldn't load though and the URL had the the same text over an over. Pity I didn't copy down the URL but it was very long and was a redirect anyway. Sorry about that and I will get it next time if there is a next time. PTW windows were all I had open in the browser before closing it so the pop after couldn't have come from any other site. I couldn't get any other information about it since the page locked up and I had to close the browsers process.
