attacks on you

i noticed someone had a failed attack on me, and under gold it said "0 gained" ...usually it says "X lost". is it possible to gain gold from a failed attack? or is that just a little bug.

If you attack someone and they have 0 gold you can't possibly gain any gold from that. However your fame level doesn't increase when you attack someone and don't plunder anything.

what i meant to say was

if you attack someone and fail, is it possible for ther person that was attacked to gain money.

No. If you attack someone and fail your fame level rises by 3.
