the freaking game froze and I couldn't log on for 5 F^&$*#! minutes..When I finally got logged back on I had lost over 152,000 gold to 2 nasty hits, It just isn't right when the game is so unreliable. We pay and we constantly lose to something out of our control.
FTR - this game freeze happens with both firefox and IE
this is BS - Now I'm online but I can't move
black pages, white pages, messages that the game is connecting or loading and then it times out - this is crap!!!

If I didnt have anything in the treasure chest I'd quit right now - thats how choked I am

It's taken me from the early part of the month till now to collect what I did and losing it like this seems very unfair considering it's a game issue

ptrdanno Success 50900 Lost
larryx6 Success 101800 Lost
where's the fame resets?

I understand that you have jobs and lives and that you've been trying to resolve this issue.
something seriously needs to be done to even out the losses

the only ones benefitting from the stealing are the strong players
the stronger members seem to be the only ones getting anywhere

My guess is the "lag" is caused by ajax (radar and other stuff that uses it).. don't know what else could cause it.. and it happens if you sail too fast, so i guess it's flooding the ajax connections and somehow hangs everything up.. and then it probably doesn't let you establish a connection for some time? .. i'm not an expert of ajax but i can't think of any other thing coded in php that could cause this..

I have my concerns about AJAX as well, but just imagine what people would do if I took away live radar and live attack logs!

The game had lag and freezing before the AJAX. I've gone over the php code a thousand times and there's nothing in the code that I can see that would cause it.

if you took away the live radar, I'd go back to clicking refresh constantly, haha...

man, I really felt like a dork then

For me it would be as easy as picking 'tools > auto refresh the current > every 10 seconds', then sitting and waiting. I still like the log and radar being live though, and don't get lag often. Like I've said before though (In different terms but same meaning.) if you stand under an apple tree and get hit on the head by an apple, did the apple fall on you because you stood under it, or did you stand under it because the apple was going to fall??.
