I'm new here. I had 1,800 gold or so last night, 0 fame. Cannons: 2, Hull: 3,Crew: 2, Navigation:4. However, I lost 142 gold coins in one attack (almost ten percent), then 130 and so forth in the following five attacks. A total of more than 700 gold coins. How could I possibly save gold for enhancements if I lose so much on a daily basis? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you very much.

Sounds like a bug there. When you have 0 fame you should only lose 1% per attack unless I'm missing something. Are you sure the attacks weren't when you were playing??.

If it wasn't so consistent, I'd wonder if it was that whole 'random' factor that bit me a while ago.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm pretty sure it wasn't while I was playing because it logged in in the morning and the attacks had happened during the night. I'll definitely PM seacaptain. Maybe he'll be able to help. Thanks so much again.

chances are you had some fame and didn't realize it

The following attacks it dropped 1 fame point at a time until it reached 0.

You actually started the night with 8 fame.
