Try using firefox browser. You can get it from http://www.mozilla.org . I'm not sure why you're having problems with the browser, but I know it works for me in IE when I try it. Hope this helps.

i think i'll explain a ddos attack for you guys..
DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service attack

basically, its when someone has trojans on lots of pc's around the world (a trojan is a virus like computer program that allows the hacker to use the pc like a puppet.. home made ones are generally undetectable via virus scanners)
anyway, one day, that person decides he doesnt like a website, so he sends a message to all of those pc's telling them to visit a website (lets use ptw as an example) so all those computers visit ptw - now thats ok i guess.. but now the pcs constantly visit ptw, over and over and over.. sometimes with up to 50 connections at a time.

Now the ptw server has been flooded with requests for data.. and its trying hard to give everyone the data they want, but it cant.. real visitors will miss out and the trojaned pcs take all of the servers attention. (hence the "Denial of Service")

these attacks can be very costly to the website owner - in terms of advertising revenue lost and wastage of server resources (a recent ddos on my small website used 25gb of bandwidth in about 3 minutes - at about $1 a gb, that adds up.. im just lucky mine was limited - dedicated servers for larger sites are generally not that lucky)

anyway.. because there are hundreds of pcs attacking all over the globe, its very hard (not impossible however) to tell who is a real surfer and who is an attacker.. and so it is extremely difficult to block an attack of this nature.

Hope this helps some of you understand what has been going on lately.
