Soon we will be requiring members to have a valid email address. If you are one that uses a fake email address, it would be wise to update it with one that is working.

We are going to be removing those players with fake addresses from the PTW system. This will not only promote honest players, it will clean up some of those inactive pirates you are all complaining about.

This is not going to happen right away, but in the very near future, so this is just fair warning. Thanks

What is the definition of a fake email address? I mean are yahoo or hotmail valid email addressess?

my guess would be that a 'fake' email address is one that doesnt exist - like 33nr398rrf2@runksd39r3rfdfcd.vfv . im sure with the popularity of hotmail and yahoo, those email address will be fine.

It might mean that they will send out a confirmation email and if you don't respond by, say, the end of the month, it means you are not checking your email and/or you have a fake email and your account will be disabled...

By valid email address we mean an email address that can recieve email. As long as it's not fake or a made up email address, it is ok.

Hotmail, Yahoo!, AOL are all valid although we don’t recommend AOL as they seem to block most mail from this server. Hope that helps,

AOL blocks a lot of stuff, it's like having BIG BROTHER breathing down your neck!
