every so many moves I get this error:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/game/public_html/includes/dbconnector.php on line 3
Database Connection Error


It also comes up on the attack log too.

that error...

and here is the ss of one i get on the radar.. i woulda assume since its happening over the radar and attack logs.. that it would have somethin to do w/ the live things...

On my desktop, it's my AT&T DSL browser, on my laptop it's IE...both computers get the errors.

I got it a few times on IE today also. A couple times I had to log out & back in.

Oh yeah, and I lost about 200,000 gold becuase of it. Yeah. Just, ummmm..., put that back on my ship then at your leisure. Yeah. Whenever. No rush.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but I will keep an eye on it.

Had 2 log out using laptop second time it happened. Was just attacking Breesley when it happened. I did get my coins. Oh ya, MadMorgan said she would share the 200,000 coins - really, thats what she said. Trust me :lol:

I have also been getting database connection messages.

If you REALLY do lose something because of this, PM me with proof and I will look into it, but for the most part it seems like a simple refresh will reconnect to the database and keep you playing.

I'm not sure why you would have to restart your browser or use a different one.

I am looking into why this is happening and hopefully will have an answer soon.

how do you get 200,000 gold in 600 moves????,,, I have 250 or so moves left and only got about 2000 so far

I've found out that the database is restarting itself from time to time.

Why, I don't know, but I will find out. :-)
