ok, i know this will be a little while off, but i wanted to see what everyone thought of it...
For the one year aniversary of ptw, have a huge treasure hunt, and the first prize will be a brick of gold. im sure by the time that comes, there will be more than enough members to fund such a prize. (they are about $500 from memory)

what does everyone think?

[/random idea]

thats what im saying.. think about it... next time someone in the street walks up to you and says "excuse me, do you own a brick of gold?" you could be all "why, yes, i do! Thanks for asking."

edit: im sure it would even get a little news coverage... its not every day someone wins a brick of gold.

thats pretty cool, but i dont think anyone has every walked up to me and asked if i had a brick of gold. just remember that it isnt 500 USD for a brick of it, its 500 for an ounce of it.

edit: there are different size bricks, what size should be given out?

google it, the stock market has it pegged at more than 500 USD an ounce at the moment. by the time a year has gone by, it will even more.

it also takes 30 tons of rock, etc. to extract just one ounce of gold.

Yes, thats it! Melt down the gold coins and make a brick out of that.

Now all we need is enough gold coins to do that and we'll be set!

Heres a possible add-on to your suggestion.
What if there were several "winners"
Each winner recieves a "treasure chest" a nicely made small box with the PTW logo (it'd be a cool keepsake)
and I KNOW you can get those chocolate gold coins custom embossed, so perhaps they could be filled with those...
THEN ONE of those treasure chest's could contain a couple of REAL gold coins.
I think that'd be worth the hunt just for the free chocolate. hehehe

YEA! and how about, we hold a crazy treasure hunt right here in this thread? Whoever finds the good idea first will win a new luxury car made of solid gold and chocolate and laser beams. (what?) I'm warning you though, winning this treasure hunt is practically impossible.
