I actually asked processor speed, not operating system, but don't worry about it.
tracert is a DOS program that can be run from the command prompt. If you type in 'tracert
http://www.piratetheworld.com' you will get a listing like I showed above with how many hops it takes to go from your system to the game server. The 10 hops on mine is about medium, the game I have the most problems on has 18 hops. Cap is in California, same as the server, so he probably has even less than me. The point I was trying to make is that any information on the internet is sent via a set of connecting computers, any of which could contribute to the problem, and the more of them there are the longer information could potentially take.
I run a Pentium 4 1.6 GHz system that has 2 GB of ram and 20 GB of free space on the drive with the operating system, but I can bring my system to a crawl by simply starting up a download using bittorrent and then trying to surf the web. I am trying to help diagnose in some way what could be causing the problem, not be a jerk.
