It is heartbreaking to say this but jwmcn1 is no longer with us.
He passed away quietly in his bed earlier this week. He was a
good pirate and dear friend that will be missed.

I am sitting with his ship if anyone wants to pay respects with me
come sit with us.

God Bless Jeff and keep him in his arms.

Jeff was my friend and ally for quite a few years here on PTW. He taught me to slash and burn with the best of them! Whenever I thought I was getting too big for my piratey britches, along he would come to shoot a hole right through them! Haha! He was loved and hated by every single pirate to sail here at one point or another, I think. What better evidence of greatness in a pirate?

I was fortunate to be among those he considered a friend...and for that I will be forever grateful.

May he sail forever to safe harbors and warm sands.

Sad to see a fellow pirate leave the world. He got a few good hits off me & I think I may have even got a couple of good ones off him :) May your Ghost Ship sail on forever Jeff :)

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!"

I want to thank everyone that sat with Jeff's ship till it....well till it was gone.
I also want to thank everyone that posted here as well. Jeff was blessed with
many friends and he loved you all. He loved this game as well. I don't know if I will
play any more now. As most of you know Jeff and I were close friends even
across the miles. I miss him dearly and it was in this game that we met. I am
saddened that his ship now is gone also but as brown paper bag said :

"There, she is gone!"

I will never forget Jeff and his ship, jwmcn1, and even tho it is gone from my sight I know the angels in heaven were shouting "Here she comes".
Farewell my dear, dear friend, farewell but never forgotten. Till we meet again

Don't you leave too, Jeff would want you to keep playing, help keep his memory alive :) Besides I get the feeling SeaCaptainN is just waiting for us to drop off 1 by 1 so he can forget about PTW all together. The longer we keep playing the longer that will take & hopefully he will realize he just has to get off his backside & finally do something with PTW so it doesn't die!!! Come back Mary0203, don't let PTW die too!!

My pleasure, I have been waiting for you to get back up to your old strength so you can get my gold again, just like the old days :) Would be disappointing if I didn't have you chasing my tail making me try harder to keep ahead :) Besides, without you there doesn't seem to be too many others posting on the Forums anymore!! I quite like Darkmyst9's idea for a chat, hopefully get a bit more interest into the game :)

I notice my comment about SeaCaptnn hasn't prompted any action :(
